The winner-film of «2-in-1» competition will soon be released in
Russia.
Ceremony guests also had a chance to watch four works of Generaion
Campus graduates. The head of the project, Anna Gudkova, also remarked
that she hopes that some Russian producers present at the screening
will be interested to develop those trailers into full–blown features.
The performance of Elena Skanvi and her 10-year old son Alexey
Stychkin was one of symbolic events of the festival. The most
emotional in his reaction to this duo, was Mathieu Amalric, a special
guest of the festival who came to Moscow to present the closing film:
«On Tour». The director who turned 45 on the day of festival closing
said that it was his first visit after a 33–year break. He spent 4
years of his childhood in Moscow where he was learning music similar
to Alexey Stychkin.
Sam Klebanov, «Cinema Without Borders» president, presented «On Tour»
together with Mr. Amalric. He also mentioned that he is very happy to
show this film to «2-in-1» guests before it's released in Russia on
November 4, 2011.
Wrapping up the official part, Renat Davletiyarov, the executive
producer of the festival and Alexey Medvedev, the program director
thanked all the foreign guests and jury members who had faith in the
festival and accepted «2-in-1» invitation to come. Special thanks were
expressed to film critics and the general pulic, whose support makes
this festival possible, and gives «2-in-1» enough confidence to feel
the need for this event and to go on.
